vLab Virtual Labs

Real Experience in a Virtual Environment

There’s no substitute for real experience.  Virtual labs enable users to go beyond a static demonstration or simulation, to experiment and make mistakes working with live equipment.  In a virtual lab, learners master their hardware and software skills in a real, remote environment.

vLabs provide an environment that can mirror almost any hardware or software configuration – even custom environments or proprietary application modules – to meet your specific sales training, classroom education, and IT certification requirements.   Our e-Learning modules support all major Cisco®, Microsoft®, CompTIA®, and Linux® certifications.

Risk Free Technology Training
Element K vLabs enhance learners' skills using risk-free networking hardware and software. No need to put your own infrastructure at risk when training your staff.  If they get stuck, they can restore systems without the time-consuming and dangerous rework necessary on actual systems.

Learn how to put vLab technology to work for you with these tutorials:

Reduce Costs with Virtualization
The ability to support geographically dispersed students enables significant cost savings associated with travel and productivity.  What's more, you don't need to purchase hardware and allocate space to support your e-Learning – nor employ resources to maintain your equipment.

  • Ability to eliminate technical overhead
  • Learners can access labs to train when it fits their schedule
  • Cost effective, fast turnarounds on technology upgrades and introductions
  • Increased responsiveness to customer needs

Performance-based Assessment
Multiple-choice questions often cannot sufficiently assess student learning with complex technologies.  Virtual labs offer a highly advanced assessment engine that can automatically collect the state of the various Cisco devices in the lab and send them to an instructor for grading.  For Client-Server labs, a lab report with device screenshots can be sent to an instructor for grading.
