System Requirements
To successfully connect to KnowledgeHub content, you must:
1. Meet Element K hardware and software requirements; use an approved browser and system platform from the list below.
2. Have Internet access with a 56K modem or broadband.
3. Accept browser cookies.
4. Enable JavaScript on your Web browser.
5. Set your browser to refresh at every page.
6. Not be behind a firewall that blocks cookies or blocks access to a secure server.
7. Turn off pop-up blocking. (Internet Explorer Users only)
Any computer that is able to connect to and surf the web in a satisfactory way is capable of running KnowledgeHub. Below are specific platforms that we certify.

Using KnowledgeHub requires the browser settings and plug-ins listed below.
Settings - JavaScript Enabled
- Cookies Enabled
- Pop-up blockers disabled
- Set to refresh on every page
Plug-ins - Adobe Flash Player 8.0 or higher browser plug-in (required for assessment player and virtual classrooms tool)
- Adobe Reader browser plug in (required for course completion certificates)
- Element K Java applet (required for administrators to upload files)
In addition to these requirements, some content has additional requirements. You will have a chance to see any content requirements before the content is launched.
KnowledgeHub and Firewalls
If your computer is located behind a firewall, you might not be able to access portions of KnowledgeHub. Firewalls sometimes block JavaScript or won't let you log in to a
secure server,which KnowledgeHub requires. Ask your system administrator for further assistance with firewalls.
Beta Browsers
Element K does not support Beta or pre-release versions of any browsers. Please use a full release version of a standard browser when using KnowledgeHub.
Element K will support full release versions of standard browsers after the browser has been made available and tested,usually within six months of release.
System Requirements for Content
KnowledgeHub delivers a wide variety of training content. In some cases additional software is required to consume content. Look at the Overview Tab of each course
page to learn about any specific content requirements.
